My first stumble

and how I learned to stop and come back

A few weeks ago, I ran into my first stumble. Multi-dimensional Lists. For some reason, this was the first topic I had trouble understanding. I had gone through a few courses already and always found the solution. I struggled for an hour or two trying to finish this test on Team Treehouse before calling it a night. The next day, I came home from work, sat down, and told myself I was going to figure it out.

And then, in less than 5 minutes, I had figured it out. The 'aha' moments everyone talks about, really are intoxicating. The learning, and then the struggle, followed by the rewarding feeling of accomplishment.

I have been learning to code for about 3 months now. Today, I am sick on my weekend, and can't focus enough to code so have decided to at least do a little blogging. This is the beginning, and hopefully will be more energized to post something a little more descriptive and fun. I just wanted to get the ball rolling.

I spend a lot of my time thinking about coding, and how to plan what I'm going to learn. I listen to a lot of podcasts to catch up on the fifteen or so years that I've missed in the tech world, and feel like I can't learn enough. I'll be writing about what I've learned, listened to, and been inspired by. Hopefully, it may inspire someone else.
